Gregory McEwan was born in 1972 in Trelawny, Jamaica, and he moved to Toronto, Canada at the age of ten. Gregory attended York University; his major was English. He developed a love for writing in high school and accredits that to his English teacher, Mrs. Gail Keating. Gregory spent years working in telecommunications; however, his love for writing willed him to write his first novel, Freedom City.
